In the DELE exam, in the Written Test of levels B2, C1 and C2, graphs appear.
In the DELE B2 and in the DELE C1 you can choose whether to do the option with the graphic or another. In the DELE C2 you will have no choice: task 3 always includes a graph.
In this post I give you some tips to do your homework better with a graph in the DELE exam:
- The purpose of the task with a graph is not to list the content of the graph or to talk about all the data it shows. The goal is always in the guidelines, pay close attention to them. There they will tell you if you have an opinion or not, if you have to buy or not, what you should focus on, who will read you... The graphic is a tool for exemplifying and justifying a topic, you are not expected to do a thorough analysis.
- Get used to seeing graphs to learn how to interpret your data. I recommend you go to real sources:

- Have structures prepared to help you compare, because you will almost always have to do this: although, on the one hand, on the other hand, in the lead, followed by...
- Use relative quantities. It combines round quantities with relative quantities: the majority, the minority, a large part, half, a third...
- Do not start the text directly with data, the ideal would be to make a subtle introduction.
