Test 4 of the DELE B2 Spanish exam consists of 3 oral tasks and lasts 20 minutes in total.
Depending on the center where you take your DELE exam, you can take this Oral Test on the same day of the call, although you may also be invited to take it a few days before or even later.
For Test 4, you must choose between two topics in each of the three tasks.
Task 1 and Task 2 are not improvised, but you will have 20 minutes in advance to prepare them just before entering the exam room, while Task 3 has a greater degree of improvisation, although you will have one minute to read the test material.
When you enter the exam room, you will first be asked some simple questions with the intention of breaking the ice, although your answers will not be evaluated, since they only want you to feel more comfortable and to get rid of tension.
TASK 1
For Task 1, you will previously receive a sheet with the explanation of a certain problem in society and 5 possible solutions.
For this task, you should do a monologue of approximately 4 minutes, in which you will have to comment on the advantages and disadvantages of at least 4 of the possible solutions, considering your point of view on them.
There are two different, although equally valid, ways of doing this task: you can comment on each answer individually, explaining why you consider it appropriate or not; or you can group the positive proposals -with which you agree- on the one hand- and the negative proposals -with which you don't agree- on the other.
At the end of your monologue, the examiner will ask you for about 2 or 3 minutes some questions related to the topic you have chosen, in which he will try to personalize your answers. That's why it's important that you justify your opinions.
TASK 2
In Task 2, meanwhile, you must comment on a photograph in 3 minutes -at most- (remember that you can choose between two possible photos) and you will do so in a guided manner, that is, they will ask you a series of specific questions so that you can answer them according to what you observe in the photograph.
At the end of this monologue, for another 2 or 3 minutes the examiner will ask you a few more questions, in this case also related to your personal experience and your opinions, as at the end of Task 1.
TASK 3
Finally, in Task 3, which lasts about 4 minutes, you must choose a survey (you will have two options), take a minute to analyze it and then a dialogue will open with the examiner in which you will answer questions from that survey and you must contrast your results or expectations with those of a sector of the population.
What you will then do in this instance is to talk to the interviewer and answer their questions. I recommend, however, that you also ask the examiner a question, as this will add up points and help raise your score in Test 4.
